A paper ticket from a ticket meter is sometimes required when using Parkmobile and depends on your parking location. A paper ticket is required for City of Sydney, even for top-ups and so you must return to the meter to obtain the ticket and display it on your vehicle dash. Failure to do so could result in an infringement.
You can park with the following councils and not have to display a parking ticket:
- ACT Government, Canberra, ACT.
- Glen Eira Council, VIC.
- Manly Council, NSW.
- Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, VIC.
- North Sydney Council, NSW.
- Royal Botanic Gardens, NSW.
Please note: If you park in the following areas, the meter will be activated and when you start a Parkmobile session. For City of Sydney, a parking ticket will be issued by the meter and must be displayed on your dash; for the other locations below your selected bay will be activated on the meter with the time paid for with Parkmobile.
- City of Sydney, NSW.
- North Sydney Council, NSW.
- Royal Botanic Gardens, NSW.
Please also note: that you are not permitted to park longer than the posted time restrictions even if you have purchased another ticket or session. For example, you cannot park for 4 hours in a 2P area by buying two sessions without leaving the area after parking for 2 hours. Failure to do this could result in an infringement.
